Lawns on light soil

Lawn grass needs a good soil structure for healthy growth. Improve the soil structure in light soil with a natural clay mineral powder. It contains natural clay minerals that increase the ability of the soil to store water and nutrients. This improved soil reduces stress and nutrient deficiencies.

Lawns on heavy clay soils

Heavy clay soils often tend to be compacted, which can lead to poor aeration and waterlogging. Humus lastingly improves the soil structure so that the grassroots get more air and are better able to grow. A permanent humus concentrate is particularly suitable to improve the soil in lawn areas.

Autumn holidays

Autumn foliage offers a valuable, protective mulch layer on bare soil. However, a layer of leaves on the lawn is not beneficial, it leads to thatching and should therefore be removed. The leaves can be raked underneath shrubs or perennials, for example, and can improve the soil by means of surface composting.

Moss in the lawn

The lawn slows down its growth during the dark months of the year. However, moss continues to grow well even at lower temperatures and in poorer light conditions. One reason why grass does not grow well and is unable to free itself from moss is a soil that is too acidic. Grass needs to have a pH value of 6 to 7. Quickly and easily check the pH of the soil with a pH soil testing kit. In order to obtain an overall impression of the lawn area, the required soil sample should be a mixture of several individual samples. To take a soil sample, cut out and lift a triangular block using a knife. Then use a spoon to evenly scrape away and collect the soil from the sides – from top to bottom. If the soil is excessively acidic, adjust the pH value for a healthy lawn using lime.

Remove moss on the lawn quickly and easily with CleanLawn Moss Control for Lawns Concentrate. The product easily dissolves in water and can be applied with a watering can. CleanLawn Moss Control for Lawns Concentrate thoroughly and gently combats moss in the lawn. The product is biologically degradable (according to OECD 301 F). It does not lead to black discolouration of the treated area.
