INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FOR USE ONLY AS AN AMATEUR SLUG
AND SNAIL KILLER
WHEN TO USE
Controls slugs and snails feeding on a soil surface
in crops of vegetables, fruit and ornamentals
grown outdoors and in the greenhouse reducing
damage during plant emergence and lower leaf
damage. Damage caused by sub-surface activity
to underground plant parts such as potatoes,
carrots and other roots, tubers, bulbs, corms and
rhizomes etc. may not be reduced.
Similarly damage caused to aerial plant parts such
as flowers, currants or Brussels sprout buds etc.
may not be reduced. Evenly scatter Sluggo®+ Slug &
Snail Killer Ultra on the soil surface between the
plants as soon as feeding damage is noticed.
Application is best made in the evening in mild,
damp conditions when slugs and snails are most
active. At times of very high slug activity and
damage, application may also be made to the
surface of immediately adjacent beds to help
reduce the population which may move into the
area to be protected.
HOW TO USE
Use as directed to protect children and pets.
Application rate: 2.5 g/m2. Scatter pellets around
plants so that individual pellets fall approximatley
6-7 cm apart at a ratio of approximately 215
pellets per m2
. Up to 4 applications per crop are
permitted. It is essential that Sluggo®+ Slug & Snail
Killer Ultra is broadly and evenly scattered in the
plant area threatened by slug and snail damage.
Never apply Sluggo® Slug & Snail Killer Ultra+ in
small mounds or rings around specific plants.
Take care to avoid pellets becoming trapped.
If after 5 to 7 days the pellets have been consumed, the product may be reapplied to restore
bait coverage where it has been depleted. This
way any newly arriving slugs may also be caught.
In cases of severe slug and snail infestation the
plant beds should be treated directly after planting. For best results break down any large lumps
of soil prior to application so as to leave a fine,
firm soil surface. This will prevent the pellets
from disappearing in cracks in the soil, which
would put it out of reach of the slugs.
